Lake Harrieta

This lake is located on the Harrieta Estate facing the Pyrenees mountain range in a special, protected and lush setting.
With a surface area of 2.5 hectares and depth at its centre of 8 metres, it is fed by extremely pure spring water.

Fishing at Lake Harrieta

Fishing is open to everyone, whether or not they are renters at the Residence, and can be done year round.
A fishing permit is not required for fishing is this enclosed basin of water.
All legal methods of fishing are allowed. Wall-eyes and suckers may be used as live bait.

No-kill sport fishing is done with flies, or with a flexible lure with only one hook and a flattened barb. The use of lures with triple hooks is not permitted.
Traditional fishing is permitted with a bobber, an artificial lure, a float, deadbait rig, bombettes, etc. Fish caught using traditional means should not be thrown back.

You may use your own fishing tackle or rental tackle available on site.

The Fish

Trout, grass carp and black bass are abundant in the lake. There are also eels, ruds and rotengles.

The trout and black bass may reach up to 3 kilos in weight. The record catch for a black bass is 3.8 kilos.

Special fishing for children

A fish pond containing rainbow trout in large numbers can be found next to the reception building of the Harrieta Estate.

It is an ideal way to teach children to fish, since this pond allows newcomers to catch one fish after another.
Fishing rods and bait are furnished free of charge.

Rates

An attractive rate schedule is offered to fishermen based on daily flat rates, as well as a membership pass for frequent users.
These rates do not apply to renters at the Harrieta holiday residences. Special rates have been set aside for them, based on their rental package.
